New ways to learn

Online & Distance learning offers new options and flexibility to meet your educational goals. Sometimes called online learning, distance education, technology-supported courses, or correspondence, the College of New Caledonia offers some of each. This Web site supports your quest for information about online and distance learning at CNC and beyond.

The instructor and learners may spend part of their time in a classroom, supplemented with independent use of the Internet at other times and places. Or, they may be "connected" only by use of email, phone, computer conferencing, or Web Courses and never meet in person.

Some CNC courses that are listed under WebCT require attendance on campus in Prince George, or on one of the four regional campuses in Northern British Columbia. Courses available exclusively by distance include both correspondence and Internet courses.

The world is a global education marketplace! If your goal involves transferring courses to another educational body, to gain professional certification or to improve employability, please check with the school where you plan to graduate, the professional body in questions, or your prospective employers to find out if the course will meet their requirements.
