The Lumber Manufacturing Certificate (LMIC) is a 15-week full-time program designed to help you prepare for employment in the lumber manufacturing industry.

The program focuses on developing your knowledge of the lumber manufacturing industry and giving you practical skills through certification and hands-on experience. It covers the following topics: 

  • Overview of the lumber manufacturing industry
  • Safety certification courses
  • Skill certification for entry-level positions
  • Employability skills
  • Math and computer skills
  • On-the-job work placement experience
