Advanced Foot Care CertificateThis revised five-day advanced course will provide a certificate in foot care and deals with advance foot care techniques for older adults, including the use of the Dremel Drill.Beginner's Introduction to Home RepairAlways wanted to tackle those household fix-ups that never seem to get done? Learn the proper use of hand tools used around the home to accomplish basic repairs: change a plug, replace a light switch, fix a leaky faucet or running toilet and more.Career Development PractitionerThis course has been offered in the past at CNC through a partnership with Douglas College. Although it has not run for the past three years, the course has recently undergone curriculum development and CNC will be investigating the feasibility of offering this course once again here on campus this year.Independant Dental Hygiene Study for Dental HygienistsCNC offers an independent dental hygiene study program, designed for dental hygienists who want to sit the BC Clinical Exam and for those who are required to upgrade their clinical skills, or renew or enhance dental hygiene knowledge/skills for re-licensure.
Pharmacy TechnicianThe regulation of pharmacy technicians, a national initiative which has been underway for some time, will ultimately result in the creation of a new healthcare professional and new registrant of the College of Pharmacists of BC. Regulated pharmacy technicians will be directly responsible and accountable for an expanded scope of technical functions related to prescription preparation and processing.
This 13 week full-time Justice Institute of BC certificate course is an entry-level paramedic training program providing the skills and knowledge required to practice as a Primary Care Paramedic.
Staffing Services Clerk Certificate ProgramOffered in partnership with Okanagan College. Staffing services clerks work in hospitals and community health units to provide staffing services to meet both short and long term staff scheduling needs. Using a computerized scheduling system, staffing services clerks follow standard guidelines to perform related staffing functions.Studio Art: Portfolio DevelopmentThe learner will have the opportunity to create original images to include in a portfolio needed to apply to a fine art program. Under the guidance of a professional artist and CNC instructor in the Fine Arts program, mature students and students in their final year of high school will experiment and create art using a variety of techniques and mediums. This broad spectrum of creative exploration will result in at least five art pieces that will be appropriate for submission to any art program.
