Registration information

 

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Your registration is confirmed when your fees are paid. We accept payment by cash, cheque, money order, Visa, or Mastercard.

     - registration deadline* is two weeks prior to the course start date unless otherwise noted
     - registrations are welcome after the advertised course deadline (based on seat availability)
     - non-attendance does not constitute a formal withdrawal

*Because we are cost-recovery, a minimum number of paid registrants is required to proceed with each course. We use the registration deadline to determine if we have enough participants to proceed with the course.  Although we do everything we can to ensure all of our courses run, there are times when we may have to cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

Print your name, address, telephone number (business and home), and course selection on the CNC Continuing Education Registration Form and return it to:

Fees, paid in full, must accompany your signed registration form. Please make your cheque or money order payable to the College of New Caledonia. If paying by credit card, please include expiry date and name of cardholder                                                                            

 

Refunds

Please note: For withdrawal/refund policy, the "registration deadline date" is the same as "registration recommended by" date. A full refund of fees will be given if a course is cancelled by the College or if a student withdraws from a course/programme one or more days prior to the course registration deadline date (original course receipt required). 

Refunds will take approximately three to six weeks to process. No refund will be granted on textbooks. 

No refund of fees will be given if a student cancels on or after the advertised course registration deadline.  

Fee structure 

The course prices listed in the Calendar are inclusive of all applicable taxes. While most Continuing Education courses are tax exempt, courses that are intended for personal use only and that have no vocational or academic objectives are subject to taxation.  

Receipts issued will reflect the breakdown of the fees, including any taxes.  

Student Information Sheet on Fee Deferrals
for Community Education or Continuing Education Courses or Programs  

We’re pleased to provide you with an opportunity to upgrade your skills. We’re also pleased to be able to offer you a tuition fee deferral process to help you access your education. 

If you’re seeking a fee deferral, you may register “conditionally” with Admissions. Then you go to Finance to complete the necessary paperwork, before coming back to Admissions, paying the required downpayment, and being formally accepted. 

There are a few things you need to know: 

  1. While your initial payment is made at CNC Admissions when you register, all following payments are made at CNC Financial Services, on the third floor of the Prince George Campus.
  2. When you commit to a fee deferral process with the College, we make a contract. We provide the programming promised, and you promise to pay the remainder of your fees in full, at the times agreed.
  3. There is a $50 non-refundable deferral administration fee that you will be charged at the time of registration (should the College cancel the course or program, you will be refunded the $50)
  4. If you do not make payments as agreed, we will not be able to provide you with your CNC credential for successful course or program completion, you won’t be able to register in further programming at the College of New Caledonia until your fees are paid up and you will be contacted by a collection agency.
