Designed for the adult learner, the AEC can help you:

    • Improve your reading, writing, math and computer skills
    • Broaden your job options
    • Prepare for exams
    • Complete prerequisites for post-secondary programs
    • Finish high school graduation requirements ( Adult Dogwood)

Course Delivery Options

 

We understand the needs of adult learners. Balancing education, family life and work is not easy. That’s why we offer courses in a variety of ways, at all grade levels, so you can work on specific areas at your own pace.

Delivery options include:

    • Flexible course schedules
    • One-on-one, self-paced or group lecture
    • Daytime and evening classes
    • Individual student support
    • Employment support

We also have:

    • Biology 12
    • Bookkeeping and Accounting 11
    • Communications 12 and English 12
    • Foods 12
    • Upper level math (trades and pre-calculus)

Dates: September 6, 2011 – August 31, 2012

Burns Lake:  Monday to Friday, 9am - 3pm; Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 6 - 9pm. Summer hours: Tuesday and Wednesday, 9am-3pm

Southside:  Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 3:00pm

          Focus Employment Program

          The Focus Employment Program is a specialized program for adults affected
          with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). It is offered in a learning
          environment that is both structured and individualized.

 

Admission Requirements

Applicants should be 19 years of age.

Placement in the program will be based on a interview with the instructor.

To register for the Adult Education Centre, just stop in or book an appointment. Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible.

Tuition is free, but textbook fees and/or course material fees may apply.
