Residential Construction Framing Technician (RCFT)

The RCFT program was designed by the Industry Training Authority (ITA) to get people certified quickly as construction framing tradespersons.  After completing the in-school training at CNC, you need only 500 work-based hours to qualify for your certification.  Once certified as a RCFT, you also receive the in-school credit for Level 1 Carpentry and 500 work-based hours towards the Carpentry apprentice requirements.

A RCFT has the skills to build a residential building, starting with the concrete formwork right up to the "lock-up" stage.  The demand for skilled workers with this trade is high across BC, especially in growth areas.
