Welding Level B

 

Flexible schedule!

 

From construction sites to production shops, welding is an important skill in almost every trade. With advancing technology, welding equipment and techniques are constantly changing. Therefore, it’s imperative for welders to update their skills.

 

Welder Level “B” means a person who has training in and is capable of welding ferrous and non-ferrous metals in all positions, on both plate and/or pipe, using SMAW, STAW, and FCAW processes. These welders qualify to test for Portable Pressure Welding Procedure (PWP) tests in British Columbia, and such other work as is usually done by a Level “B” Welder.

 

Graduates of Welding B will be qualified for a variety of jobs in the construction and metal working industries. Possible job titles include Maintenance Welder, Welder Fabricator, Welder Fitter, Construction Welder and Pipe Welder (in pulp mills, gas plants and refineries).

Admission Requirements

  • To enter Level B Welding, you must have completed the registered C level.

Welding Level A

Welder Level "A" means a person who has advanced training, skills and abilities to weld all materials, including specialized alloys, by any manual welding process, in any position, and such other as is usually done by a level "A" Welder.

 

Graduates of  Welding A will be qualified for a variety of jobs in the construction and metal working industries. Possible job titles include Maintenance Welder, Welder Fabricator, Welder Fitter, Construction Welder and Pipe Welder (in pulp mills, gas plants and refineries).
