Residential Building Maintenance Worker (RBMW) - Level 1 Southside
RBMW is an ITA technical trade that gives apprentices training in a wide variety of residential building maintenance skills. This 12-week program covers the first level of ITA technical training. Levels 2 and 3 will be offered in 2012/2013.
A Building Maintenance Worker maintains and repairs residential buildings. Skills include minor carpentry, drywall, electrical, floor laying, painting, plumbing, refrigeration mechanic and roofing repairs, maintenance, installation, inspection, testing and troubleshooting. This program includes classroom instruction and work-based experience.

Admission Requirements
- English and Math Achievement Test ($15.00)
- One of the following
- Grade 10 or equivalent, including English 10 and Math 10, or
- GED, or
- ABE Intermediate Level Math and English, or
- Mature student status (to explore this option, please schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor or Counsellor)
- Registered as an apprentice with ITA (we can help you with this - come in and see us if you are not already registered.)
Note: High school students may be eligible to take this program. See your school counsellor for details.
WorkSafeBC regulations will apply.
Level 2 will be offered in Burns Lake March 26 - June 29, 2012
Level 3 will be offered in Fall 2012
