This 7-hour course has been created by the Workers Compensation Board (WCB) to develop knowledge and skills required to deal with life threatening emergencies. The course will cover assessment of the injured person, how to deal with obstructed airways, circulatory distress, and control of bleeding. Upon successful completion, a two-year certificate will be issued. Prerequisite: Minimum Age 16.

Occupational First Aid Transportation Endorsement
$80.00 8 Hours
The transportation endorsement is designed to complement OFA Level I ticket holders. Topics include patient lifting and handling, spine board and basket stretcher immobilization, patient assessment, and treatment during transport. Prerequisite: Current Level I Certificate. Registration is required one week prior to start of course.
