To ensure a seat in any course offered by CNC, enroll a minimum of one week prior to the course start date.   


Air Brakes Endorsement
You’ll receive theory and practical training plus the Motor Vehicle Branch pre-trip inspection in this 20 hour course. To obtain an Air Brakes license endorsement, students must write the Motor Vehicle Branch Theory Exam. Students must supply their own Air Brakes manual. 20 Hrs

FREE Best Driver Training
The Best Driver Training program is for anyone 16 years of age or older who wants to write the ICBC Driver’s Knowledge Test.

Building Service Worker 1
This course introduces the expanding field of the professional Building Service Worker. The terms janitor, custodian, housekeeper or building service worker all define a person performing commercial cleaning. This course is designed for beginners and those with experience who require the certificate. Includes manuals. 18 Hrs Call for details.

 

Chamber Maid
Understand the importance of commercial cleaning. In this one day training you’ll cover all the basics of maintaining guest rooms efficiently and safely. 7 Hrs Call for details.


Computer Courses

Excel - Level 1
Excel is the spreadsheet soft-ware in the Microsoft Office Suite. In this course you’ll learn how to set up your Excel environment, learn how to use a workbook, format text, create simple formulas, work with cells, and templates.6 Hrs

Forklift Certification - For the New Operator
Under the direction of a certified trainer, successful completion of this course will have you certified on the operation of a forklift. This two-day course includes both theory and hands-on operation for the new operator. 12 Hrs

 

Logbook Refresher Training
Whether you are an owner operator or an employer, this is a valuable seminar to refresh the procedures and documentation required by law to complete your daily log book. Delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and Commercial Vehicle Safety & Enforcement. 3 Hrs

Restaurant Server Training
This workshop is for anyone interested in working in the service industry. It provides hands-on practice for servers, hostesses and support staff in the restaurant industry. Learn techniques to enhance a customer’s experience and deal with difficult situations. 7 Hrs

Serving it Right
Learn effective techniques to prevent problems related to the service of liquor. At the end of this course you will receive a Serving it Right Certificate. 5 Hrs

 

Simply Accounting - Level 1
Discover how this software can help you in your small to medium-sized business. You’ll cover the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll inventory and job costing. You will learn how to set up a company, use defaults for reports and system settings, track shipments, budget projects and more. Prerequisites: Keyboarding skills and experience working on a computer. Text book is included in course fee and available on the first day of class. 18 Hrs

Trades Math 041
Are you pursuing a career in trades or a trades-related field? Trades Math is a math prerequisite for either entry-level programs or apprentice-ships. This competency based course emphasizes basic math skills and practical applications in trades. Topics include: whole number operations, decimals, fractions, measurement systems and instruments, geometry of plane and solid figures, Pythagorean theorem, ratio, proportion, percentage, geometric constructions with circles, triangles, and lines plus trades-related problems for all topics. 90 Hrs
