 Multiple Dimensions of Mental Health

Are you struggling with mental health issues?  Or, are you in a support position where your clients may be struggling?

Obtain a better understanding of the factors affecting stress  and how to manage the symptoms that stem from prolonged bouts of stress.  Insomnia, anxiety, OCD, depression and various non-organic based physical problems may all be warning signs of an underlying mental health problem.

Parts 1 and 2 will be covered in the first evening.  Part 1 covers contributors to good mental health and considerations when constructing a plan to maintain positive mental health.  Part 2 looks more closely at the signs and symptoms of a system in distress,  acknowledging that different symptoms require different interventions.  A number of strategies will be provided.

Part 3 will be covered in the second evening.  It will examine the biochemistry of stress, anxiety and depression and the role of medications in relieving the associated symptoms.   2.5 Hrs
