FASD 260 Overview of FASD 3 CR

Develop a critical FASD context. This course provides an academic and comprehensive overview by exploring the unique complexities of FASD. The impacts of this disorder on social, criminal, educational, financial, and health care systems are considered.

FASD 300 Support Strategies 3 CR

Understanding the complexities behind effective support strategies is crucial to working with individuals and families impacted by FASD. This course focuses on the skills necessary to develop effective individualized and service based supports. Study with Barb and learn from over 10 years of first hand experience. Prerequisite: FASD 260 or permission of instructor.

FASD 325 Developmental and Learning Disabilities 3 CR

FASD 325 explores developmental disabilities (including those affecting motor, cognitive, speech and sensory systems) and learning disabilities. The focus is on those disabilities that overlap with FASD and are often found as co-existing conditions.

FASD 335 Prevention 3 CR

FASD 335 covers the three levels of FASD prevention. Principles of public health and public health policy will be examined in the context of existing prevention programs. Students will be required to develop a comprehensive prevention program for FASD at one of the three levels. Fall 2010.
