Entry level training and work place certification available to eligible students! Call to see if you qualify for training at no cost to you!

 

The Applied Workplace Essential Skills programs are designed to provide eligible participants with entry level training and certification. Students will learn basic workplace skills, industry certifications, as well as industry specific skills.

This 7 week course prepares students for entry level office positions and further training (Administrative Assistant Certificate). Students gain basic experience in office communication, customer service, time management and computer use.

 

Who Should Apply?

Participants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

· Be unemployed

· Be non EI eligible

· Have successfully completed Grade 10; or CCP Intermediate Certificate; or GED

· Have no high school diploma, or have completed high school but have no recognized certification.

· Be legally entitled to work in Canada

· Be living in BC

· Minimum age of 17

· Not a student enrolled in high school or post secondary

· Lack skills required for successful integration into new employment

 

 

Content, location and duration of training all subject to funding approval.
