Managing Digital Photographs with Picasa
Picasa is an extremely user friendly digital photo organization and editing package that is available free for both Windows and Mac computers. Picasa is wonderful for scrapbookers and amateur photographers. This course moves through the basics of organizing folders, creating virtual photo albums, editing, cropping and retouching photos and adding special effects. Bring your own photos and .mp3 music files on a memory stick and learn how to create a photo gift cd and even your own movie that can be up-loaded to YouTube. 6 Hrs

Multiple Dimensions of Mental Health
Are you struggling with mental health issues? Or, are you in a support position where your clients may be struggling?
Obtain a better understanding of the factors affecting stress and how to manage the symptoms that stem from prolonged bouts of stress. Insomnia, anxiety, OCD, depression and various non-organic based physical problems may all be warning signs of an underlying mental health problem.
Parts 1 and 2 will be covered in the first evening. Part 1 covers contributors to good mental health and considerations when constructing a plan to maintain positive mental health. Part 2 looks more closely at the signs and symptoms of a system in distress, acknowledging that different symptoms require different interventions. A number of strategies will be provided.
Part 3 will be covered in the second evening. It will examine the biochemistry of stress, anxiety and depression and the role of medications in relieving the associated symptoms. 2.5 Hrs
A bibliography will be provided .
