Important Notice: the Student Residence in the Prince George Campus is full for the 2009 fall Semester but you are still encouraged to submit your application as soon as possible for the waitlist because there are changes prior the 2009 fall Semester.
Due to higher enrollment numbers, students planning to attend CNC Fall 2010, you are encouraged to apply for residence as soon as possible even before being accepted into a program.

The residence has 92 private rooms. Each comes with a closet, desk, chair, lamp, bed, and a mini-kitchen with a microwave oven, sink, and small fridge.
Most rooms share a bathroom with one other room. There are also four rooms accessible to students with disabilities.
The spacious shared common areas feature two comfortable lounges, a main floor kitchen area, and park-like grounds with a patio, picnic tables, and barbeque.

2009/2010 Room Fees (all prices quoted are current as of April 1, 2009):
Parking Fees at CNC Residence are currently $35 per month (+GST).
An application fee ($25) and room deposit ($100) are due upon application submission. The room deposit is refundable if notice is given by August 1, 2009. This room deposit is subtracted from your first month's rent.
A damage deposit of $150 is due upon arrival. This deposit is refundable upon departure, less any charges for damages or excessive cleaning.
An activity fee of $10 per semester is due with the rent August 1 and December 1.

Trades Students: $92.50 per week.
Programs of nine or ten months duration will be required to pay additional months. Rent is due on the FIRST of each month. If you choose to pay monthly, a credit card number is required and will be used monthly. Failure to meet the first payment deadline may result in cancellation of the room and forfeiture of the room deposit.
Students are responsible to stay (or pay) for each semester registered (or program, if shorter). End of semester, notice of leaving is to be given one month prior to the end of the semester.
Exceptions may be given for withdrawal from CNC or with consideration for exceptional circumstances.
Other features:
- Coin-operated laundry rooms on each floor
- Well-lit parking area right next to the residence
- Six student advisors live on-site from September through April
Rates start at $355 per month. This covers high-speed Internet, heat, light, and all other utilities except telephone and parking.
What to bring to residence:
Each room comes with a closet, desk, chair, lamp, bed, and a mini-kitchen with a microwave oven, sink, and small fridge. Rent includes heat, light, cable and wireless Internet.
Students may want to bring the following (this is not a list of required items, nor does it represent everything a student might want or need):
- Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets)
- Bath towels, soap, robe, etc.
- Hair products, hair dryer
- Small appliances (must not be more than 10 years old)
- Posters and photographs
- First aid kit, bandages
- Shower shoes
- Laundry bag (or basket)
- Laundry soap
- Knives and forks, plates, bowls, cups
- Winter jacket, gloves, and boots
- Telephone (cordless phones are popular; telephone wiring is provided, but it's the student's responsbility to arrange and pay for telephone service)
- Stereo (with headphones)
- Computer
- Power strip/ surge protector
- Reading light
- Alarm clock
- School supplies (available in our College Store)
Note: For a small fee, international students can have access to housekeeping packages featuring bedding, dishes, and towels.
Apply early!
The residence fills up early in the spring -- apply as soon as possible, even before you've been accepted at CNC. Rates begin at $355.00 per month for a standard single room (bathroom shared with one other room).

During the academic year (September through April) the residence is fully booked with long-term students and short-term trades students, although some rooms do become available in January, and we do maintain a waitlist.
Residence building
The residence consists of two floors with common areas on each floor. It has 76 standard single rooms, each sharing a bathroom with one other room; 8 larger rooms, each sharing a bathroom with one other room; and 8 rooms with private bathrooms. Four large ground-floor rooms are accessible to students with disabilities.

Room details
- Each room has its own outside access.
- Each room has a twin bed with storage drawers, desk, chair and lamp; its own heat and air conditioning unit with individual temperature control; a microwave and bar-sized fridge; kitchen sink and shelves; and a clothes closet with shelves.
- Students can bring small appliances for their rooms; however these must be newer than 10 years old.
- Rent includes heat, light, cable and wireless Internet.
- Wiring is provided for telephone service; however it's the student's responsibility to arrange and pay for telephone service.
- Residents are responsible for providing their own bedding, dishes, towels, etc. Housekeeping packages are available for international students for a minimal charge.
- Residents are responsible for cleaning their own rooms and helping to clean their washrooms.
Common area details
- There are two lounges with furniture, TVs, and vending machines. There's also a study area on the second floor.
- There is standard-sized conventional stove and sink area on the main floor for use of anyone in residence.
- Each floor has a coin-operated laundry room.
- There's a deck off the lounge on the second floor, and a paved patio area with a BBQ and picnic tables behind the residence.
- A well-lit parking area is directly behind the residence. All parking at CNC is paid parking -- a monthly rate is available for residents. Passes must be clearly displayed.
Summer bookings and conferences
From May to September 1, the residence welcomes summer guests to Prince George. Groups of 1 to 50 are welcome to stay in the residence for 1 night or 4 months. Summer rates are based on single occupancy and start at $25.00 per night for a basic room without linen, $32.00 with linen. Weekly, monthly and group rates are also available. Small conferences of 20 to 50 can be accommodated: the residence manager would be pleased to help you plan your event.
