    Dean of The School of Academic
Foundation and Human
Services                                                                                Dr. Jackie Stokes

         Jackie

Jackie has been with CNC for 5 years, initially as an   
instructor in the Social Service Worker Program. During
that time, she has completed her doctorate in educational 
leadership and is enjoying her expanded responsibilities
as the Dean of the School of Academic Foundation and
Human Services. Along with her management experiences  
from government and health, she always endeavours to 
work from a collaborative, strengths - based 
perspective. Always striving for balance, Jackie also
enjoys long distance running and adventurous holidays

Lily Bachand

      Lily has been with CNC since 2000 working in a variety of postings
in different departments. In addition to being the ILTR's Special
Projects Assistant, Lily teaches courses in  Applied Business
Technology in with both the School of Academic Studies and CNC's 
Continuing Education department.

Grace Dyck
    Grace310

Grace has been with CNC for over 10 years. Starting with
Community and Continuing Education then teaching in the
CIS (Computer Information Systems Diploma Program),
ABT (Administrative Assistant Certificate Program) and
CNET (Computer/Network Electronics Technician
Certificate Program).

During this time Grace has completed her BC Provincial
Instructor Diploma, Diploma in Adult Education and Certificate
in Online/eLearning Instruction through Vancouver Community
College. Also completing the ISW Facilitator Development Workshop
at BCIT. Presently she is working on her M.Ed from SFU.

Now working fulltime in the Institute for Learning, Teaching,
and Research Grace enjoys the daily learning required to
answer CNC employee’s questions. She enjoys facilitating
Instructional Skills Workshops, getting both new and experienced
instructors excited about using new methodologies in their
classrooms both face2face and online.

Denise Hunt
Denise 2010         

    Denise is the Learning System Administrator/ Project
Coordinator for the Institute for
Learning Teaching, and
Research.
Denise assists faculty and students in the use
of  Moodle and
Desire2Learn features as well as any technical problems
within the management systems.

  Multi-Media Project Coordinator
Owen Siddals

          Owen

A CNC alumni from the "log cabin days" Owen is back to   
where it all started." Owen's expertise in the production of 
multi-media includes three decades in the television industry. He's  excited to bring his skills to the ILTR and assist CNC's faculty and staff with their production of educational assets or multi-media presentations.

    
     










   Jackie says: "I have been impressed at the range of services that ILTR provides to the faculty and staff of CNC."

"In addition to Moodle support, the faculty and staff in the ILTR are willing to problem solve a myriad of learning and technical issues."

"The use of multi-media to develop video vignettes is a great benefit to faculty providing multiple teaching techniques."

Grace is the "go to" person for your questions concerning all Microsoft Office software, D2L and more! As facilitator of Instructional Skills Workshops she welcomes inquiries and enthusiastically recommends the course to new and seasoned

    As well as being CNC's Moodle administrator, Denise coordinates CNC events; such as, May Days, August Connections, and other employee professional development and training activities including the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program.

If you are a faculty member interested in using the college’s Scantron to grade your exams, drop by the ILTR and book an appointment with Denise and she will be happy to guide you through the process.
