Strategic Plan

Executive Summary

The Strategic Plan for the Institute for Learning Teaching and Research is the result of the collaborative effort of Institute for Learning Teaching and Research staff under the guidance of Dean Dr. Jackie Stokes, (see Appendix A, Staff Members). It continues from and expands upon the 2004 Strategic Plan.
Evolving over a number of years, the learning culture at CNC has fostered many initiatives that precede and support the development of an Institute for Learning Teaching and Research (ILTR). Many CNC departments, committees, and employees have devoted extensive time, energy, and other resources to assist CNC’s collective growth and development in technology, instructional expertise, and quality program and service deliveries.

This Strategic Plan reaffirms and reinforces ILTR’s continued direction, that of supplying and supporting effective leadership and collegiality, the building of community, the promotion of excellence and fulfillment in employment, the embracing of innovation and technology, support of the process of Applied Research and the appropriate alignment of resources and support services.
Although the focus of the Institute for Learning, Teaching, and Research is to support employees; students are indirectly served as they will ultimately benefit from the leadership, services, and supports that the Institute for Learning, Teaching, and Research provides for CNC employees.
