John Bowman
John Bowman assumed the role of President of the College of New Caledonia on May 10, 2007.
Prior to this permanent appointment, he was “interim” President and held the position of Vice President, Student Services at CNC from August 2004 to August 2006. Before moving to Prince George in August 2004, John served as the College’s Regional Director in Quesnel for seven years.
During the 1980’s he held a number of educational administrative posts with the Manitoba Department of Education, Winnipeg School District and the Government of the Northwest Territories.
He was employed by Kwantlen University College in Surrey B.C. in the roles of Director, Research and Planning (1990-1994) and Vice President, Human Resources and Development Services (1995-1997).
John has developed a keen interest in the important roles that collaborative leadership practices, systems dynamics and positive interpersonal relationships play in enhancing the effectiveness of organizations both large and small.
