Our CNC Strategic Priorities

Early in 2016, the College of New Caledonia embarked on the development of its new five year Strategic Plan. After many conversations, extensive community consultation, and support from a diverse steering committee of CNC students, admin, faculty and staff, the CNC Board of Governors approved the CNC 2016-2020 Strategic Plan - Promoting Student Success in June 2016. The new Strategic Plan includes updated Mission and Vision statements, along with clearly defined institutional Values. At the heart of this plan is a focus on our students.

The Strategic Plan identifies five Strategic Directions and key areas of focus for the five-year plan:

  1. Student Success
  2. Culture of Service
  3. Aboriginal Education
  4. Organizational Culture
  5. Community Engagement
The plan also contains Strategic Actions, which work in support of the larger key focus areas and define how CNC will work towards these goals. This five-year road map creates a clear picture of where CNC will focus efforts and resources.

Progress Report

The June 2017 Year 1 Progress Report provides an overview of what's been completed during the first year of the Strategic Plan, highlights some of CNC's achievements, and outlines how we are working to fulfil our strategic priorities by 2020.
