International Service Learning (SERV 250)

Earn 3 UT credits for completing one month of international volunteer work!  This course allows you to integrate meaningful volunteer experience in an international context with academic coursework and critical reflection.  Choose from a wide range of individual volunteer placements or organized group projects that focus on community driven initiatives and student learning.  Participants will develop new understandings of their roles as global citizens and build their capacity to engage in their communities.

CNC has partnered with Projects Abroad (link) and Developing World Connections (link) to coordinate international volunteer placements.  Costs will vary depending on the host country, host organization, length of stay and time of year.

 

 

International Business Internship (BUS 250)

Earn 3 UT credits for completing a two week business internship abroad!  This course allows business students to experience first-hand business practices in an international setting.   Participants will examine the diversity of business practices including the perspectives of local entrepreneurs within the retail, finance, transportation and communication sectors.  Participants will participate in pre-departure preparations, selected lectures, activities and field trips along with interaction with professionals and other students in the international setting.
