Summer Shakespeare Word Search	July 1-Sept. 2, 2011	Did you know that Shakespeare wrote 38 plays? See if you can spot them all in this Shakespeare Word Search - and win some great book and bookstore prizes at the end of the summer. Earth Day Contests	April 22, 2010	Congratulations to the 25 people who won a Canadian Institute of Forestry sponsored Clean Air Tree Ball! And also to everyone who posted a comment on our Earth Day post-it wall about what you are going to do to celebrate Earth Day. More ideas for recycling in Prince George are posted here.

Make-a-Snowflake Contest	Dec. 16, 2008	Congratulations to the winners in the "People's Choice" votes - Alan Frykberg (Adult category), Patcharin (Teen), and Emmett Silence (Tiny Tot). And thanks again to all who entered the contest and helped decorate the library with paper snowflakes this year!
Code Breaking Contest	Oct. 1-Dec. 15, 2008	Congratulations to the winners in the Code Breaking contest - Geneva Wiseman, Anna-Marie Lawrie and Shawn Everett. And thanks to everyone who took a shot at guessing the secret code in Kim Stewart’s wood block art piece, “Their Work in Progress." The code translates into "sav lasav sav lasav." The artist explains: "This phrase, or other portions of the phrase come from Isaiah 28 in the Bible. In Hebrew, they represent a child's babbling sound, or baby talk. So the Tower of Babel that I built out of children's blocks and binary code all seems to indicate high intelligence, yet the code only reveals baby talk. Going back to the cautionary tale of the Tower of Babel, some of the reasons the people failed to complete their tower to the heavens were pride, over confidence, and an unwillingness to acknowledge their own faults."
Salute to Claude Levi-Strauss Word Search	Nov. 30, 2008	In November we saluted anthropologist Claude Levi-Strauss, who was celebrating his 100th birthday, with library displays and a word search contest.
