Congratulations to CNC student Melissa Lang, who won an Apple iPad after filling out a Tobacco Use survey at the Great Campus Smoke Out Day Wednesday, Oct. 6.
Lang, a CCP student who plans to go into nursing, accepted her new iPad from Patricia Covington, Dean CNC’s School of Health Sciences.
The Great Campus Smoke Out Day was open to all students and employees where smokers received tips and advice on quitting and learn about Quit support programs.
CNC has a Nicotine Intervention Counselling Centre program that is provided on campus at the Health and Wellness Centre that students can access. Employees can also receive advice through the Employee and Family Assistance Program.
CNC’s Student Union and Northern Health is also providing assistance in the college’s tobacco reduction initiatives.
