Randall Heidt is the Director of Communications and Development for CNC.
He has a Bachelor of Applied Communications degree from Mount Royal University in Calgary and a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Royal Roads University in Victoria. He currently leads a team of 10 staff supporting the College’s internal and external communications, marketing, fundraising, student recruitment, graphic design, media relations, advertising, web design, business development, recreation, government relations, college events and alumni relations.
Randall spent more than 15 years in journalism, including 10 years at the Prince George Citizen as city editor, online editor and news editor. Randall earned the volunteer of the year award for the Prince George Youth Soccer Association in 2007 and has coached hockey and several other sports for many years. He has served as vice-president and treasurer with the Prince George Chamber of Commerce as well as a director for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. Randall has won more than a dozen journalism awards, scholarships and bursaries, including Best Sports photo in Canada in1999 from the Canadian Community Newspaper Association. Randall and his wife Sandra have been married since 1993 and have two children, Austin and Samantha.
