I'm a University Transfer/Business Student. Can you give me tips of creating my class schedule/building my timetable?
You can download copies of the Course Selection Sheet and Timetable Worksheet to help you create your schedule.
Why Make a timetable?
Making a timetable is a great idea because:
· You can ensure your schedule is conflict free.
· You can quickly see whether you have all of the required parts of your timetable (did you make sure to sign up for lectures, labs and seminars if applicable?)
· It’s a good way to see what your day will look like.
· It can help you plan your work schedule, study time and other commitments around your courses (or vice versa).
What You’ll Need to Create a Timetable:
· 2 Timetable Worksheets.
· 2 Course Selection Sheets: these are a great way to keep your class information tidy and easy to submit.
· Pencil & Eraser
· The list of courses you need and want for the Fall and Spring Semesters (you can use the CNC Calendar to look up specific program requirements, course descriptions and the pre-requisites for courses).
· A downloadable version (pdf) of the Fall and Spring Timetables or you can use CNC Connect.
What do I do now that I have created my Timetable?:
Register for your courses! Each course has a limited amount of seats so you want to make sure you register for your courses early. You can register online through your CNC Connect account or in person at the Admissions & Registration Department.
