Philosophy
The College of New Caledonia Daycare embraces the view that each child is a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. We believe that a play-based environment empowers children to be creative, independent, emotionally and socially competent, capable of making choices and that this will help each child to become a lifelong learner.
About the Prince George Campus Daycare program
The Prince George Daycare program provides full-time care for preschool children, 3-5 years old. It is open from September until the end of April. We are located adjacent to the Dental Building. To reach us, please call 250.561.5834 or email us. You may also complete a registration form to hold a seat for your child for the next semester.
The Daycare also functions as a demonstration setting for the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program. There is an observation room where students enrolled in either the Basic or Post Basic ECE programs can observe the practice of theories taught in the classroom.
