NorthWorks Career Fair
NorthWorks consists of three events designed to help students prepare to enter the workforce by connecting with Prince George’s top employers. Students can participate in a job information workshop that teaches students resume writing, interview and networking skills, a career fair, and a networking event where they can build stronger relationships with future employers.
Information for Students:
Day 1: NorthWorks Job Information Workshops
Date: Thursday February 28th
Time: Sessions start at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30. Each speaker will make the same presentation twice so that students can float between rooms and topics.
Details: UNBC is hosting a series of workshops on resume writing, interview skills, networking and workplace safety. This event is tailored to students who are looking to sharpen their employment skills and stand from a crowd. Lunch will be provided.
*Transportation provided. CNC will bus students up and back from the event. There are only 40 seats available. Book your seat now. Buses leave CNC at 9:15am for UNBC. The buses will leave UNBC for CNC at 12:45pm.
Day 2: NorthWorks Career Fair
Date: Tuesday March 5th
Details: CNC is hosting the NorthWorks Career Fair in the Gathering Place. This event is a great opportunity for current and graduating students to connect with the 50 of the top employers in Prince George. We welcome everyone to come out.
Day 3: NorthWorks Networking
Date: Thursday March 7th
Details: UNBC is hosting a third day of NorthWorks were students will have the opportunity to connect with employers on a one to one basis. This is not only good experience for sharpening your interview and networking skills it allows you to ask employers key things they are looking for in candidates. Refreshments will be provided.
*CNC will bus students up and back from the event. There are only 40 seats available. Book your seat now. Buses will leave CNC at 10:30am for UNBC. The buses will leave UNBC for CNC at 1:15pm.

Dates and times:
CNC and UNBC will be offering a third day of NorthWorks (March 7th) this year to employers who will be attending the career fair at no additional cost. This extra day was created with the intention of building stronger relationships between industries and our institutions. With this goal in mind, our third day will focus on the skills students develop through their post-secondary experience and how they apply to employment. In addition, providing employers and students the opportunity to meet and discuss career options within their organization.
Employers have the option of attending both days or just one.
