How do I apply for Residence

Complete and submit an application form. Rooms are assigned on a first come first serve basis for the academic year so apply early!

Short-term stays/summer guest accommodation

Complete the Short Term Guest Application and email it to between May and mid-August for stays from 1 day to 3 weeks. If the desired stay is longer than 3 weeks, please contact the office.

Amenities include common lounges with a TV, a pool table, patio area, green space, coin operated laundry, and a BBQ.

It is recommended that you bring your own linens for sleeping and washing. Linens can be provided for an additional fee for those unable to bring items with them.

What is in your room

Each room contains a twin bed with mattress, open closet with shelving, desk and chair, and a small kitchenette with a sink and counter as well as shelving, a microwave, and small fridge.

What to bring/what not to bring

You will need to bring all personal bedding and other linens such as towels, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, cleaning supplies, and other personal items. Small appliances such as a toaster oven, slow cooker, or other with an automatic shut off are also permitted.

Please do not bring large appliances or appliances with open elements, candles, weapons, or decorating materials that will damage surfaces. Animals/pets are not permitted.

Moving in/moving out

Let us know when you expect to arrive in advance to ensure a member of our Residence Team is able to greet you and assist with checking you into your room.

All rooms are designed for single occupancy. Extra beds are not available and guests may not sleep in common areas. Overnight guests are permitted to a maximum of three consecutive nights, twice per month. No person may be the guest of more than one Resident in succession.

Residents and short term guests must sign in visitors/guests with the Residence Office prior to visitors staying. Visitors must provide valid photo ID. Visitors will not be signed in after office hours in consideration of others staying in the Residence.

Visitors are expected to adhere to the same standards as Residents or short term guests.

Visitors must be accompanied by a Resident or short term guest to use common areas.


All parking at CNC is paid parking. Parking is operated by Impark. Parking passes can be purchased directly at any ticket dispenser located in the Residence parking lot or inside the front entrance of other campus buildings. Parking passes for longer durations can be purchased through the Parking Office located in the main campus or online. Please visit the parking web page for more information.

Vehicle plug-ins are not available but a batter booster is on site should it be needed during cold weather. Please contact the Residence Office for more information.
