These collaborations include formal partnerships with post-secondary institutions abroad, faculty consulting, student volunteering and support for civil society organizations. Health Care Assistant Program

The College of New Caledonia and Pyramid College of Business and Technology in India have worked in collaboration to deliver a new Health Care Assistant Program (HCAP) in India. The new HCAP program follows CNC curricula and the Canadian standards for training. CNC instructors will co-deliver training together with their Indian counterparts. In preparation for the new program and in order to have the HCAP program recognized in British Columbia, Pyramid College of Business and Technology has built and equipped a new state of the art laboratory following Canadian requirements for the HCAP program.

Students graduating from this program will be able to write the licensing exam in India under the supervision of professionals from the BC Health Care Aide Registry.

The launch of the new HCAP program is scheduled for May 21st, 2018.

Improving Skills Training for Employment Program (ISTEP - 07)

A 3 year partnership between Shinyanga Vocational Training Centre (VTC) and two Canadian colleges, the College of New Caledonia (CNC) and College of the Rockies (COTR), both located in British Columbia. The project is designed to support Shinyanga VTC improve the quality of vocational training, strengthen linkages between employers and training programs, and establish new vocational programming in response to labour market intelligence.

The project is funded by the Global Affairs Canada and is administered by the Colleges and Institutes Canada.

Project duration: April 1st, 2016 to March 31st, 2019.
