CNC Study Abroad Bursary $500 (Application Deadline Ongoing)

CNC International Education Department has established Study Abroad Bursaries to support CNC students in pursuing Study Abroad opportunities. Bursaries are awarded to eligible students participating in a CNC Study Abroad program and awards of $500 will be distributed four times per year.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility:

  1. Be enrolled as a full-time CNC student (domestic or international student) for at least one semester;
  2. Have been accepted into an eligible CNC Study Abroad program;
  3. Have an academic standing suitable to Study Abroad (GPA of 3.0 or higher);
  4. Have a sincere interest in international travel and inter-cultural learning;
  5. Have not previously received a Study Abroad Bursary from CNC;
  6. Have not received other funding, subsidies or scholarships specifically related to their Study Abroad program totaling $1000 or more.

Applicants are required to submit a short letter detailing the importance or value of their Study Abroad program along with a recent transcript.

Irving K. Barber One World Scholarship $1,000 - $3,000(Closed)

The Irving K. Barber One World Scholarship was created by the Province of British Columbia and the Irving K. Barber Scholarship Society.

Scholarships are given to BC students who are educationally curious and interested in expanding their learning experience through Study Abroad. Scholarships of $1,000 - $3,000 are awarded to eligible students on a competitive basis pursuing part of their post-secondary studies, co-op work experiences, internships or other approved experiential learning opportunities overseas.

The One World scholarship program is open to students enrolled in a program of at least one year in length, leading to a credential offered by a BC public post-secondary institutions. Students must have been accepted into a study or work abroad program that forms an integral part of their studies.

 

Irving K. Barber Pacific Horizons Scholarship $1,000(Application Deadline: May 24, 2013)

The Irving K. Barber British Columbia One World International Scholarship was created by the Province of British Columbia and the Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society. The Pacific Horizons Scholarship assists BC students in cultural or language learning studies abroad. Scholarships of $1000 are awarded to eligible students on a competitive basis.
