Anne-Marie Prediger
From Memorial Service, May 3, 2007
Anne-Marie worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 30 years. After moving to Prince George, she worked at the College of New Caledonia Demonstration Daycare. From there she moved to Highglen Group Daycare where she was Manager for several years. After that, she worked as Manager of UNBC Childcare until July of 2001. She then became an instructor of the Early Childhood Education Program at the College of New Caledonia where she inspired many students and professionals working in the field.
Over the years, Anne-Marie contributed to the community and childcare in her many volunteer roles such as the Executive Board of the Early Childhood Educators of BC, Provincial Child Care Council, and the Canadian Childcare Federation. She was the recipient of the Gayle Davies Award and the first recipient of the Champions in Childcare Child Activist Award at Prince George’s first annual Childcare Recognition and Awards Gala in 2006. This award has since been renamed in her honor.
Anne-Marie has touched the lives of many children, families, and Early Childhood Professionals. We will miss her dearly. |
