College of New Caledonia Emergency Services Information

CNC and The City of Prince George are welcoming residents of the Cariboo who are seeking refuge from the region’s wildfires.

An emergency reception centre has been set up in CNC’s Gathering Place off of the 22nd Avenue entrance at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George, which is located along Highway 97 just north of the intersection with Highway 16. View map location.

Please ensure that you check in here first. This will enable you to access assistance with regards to accommodation and lodging, as well as emergency food and medical services. The College campus also has some room for RVs and trailers in the west parking lot.
CNC has set up different areas on site to service the needs of evacuees and volunteers. Please click on the link to access where these areas are on campus:
The CNC gym and weight room are being used to service the emergency efforts and are closed for the duration; however, the YMCA of Northern BC is offering free use of facilities with the presentation of an ID card with proof of residence. http://www.nbcy.org/
