I am Georgina Jones and I am a Certified Dental Assistant. I practiced as a CDA in private dental clinics for 27 years before coming to Prince George to join the dental faculty at CNC. Being a Certified Dental Assistant has been a career that I have loved right from the start.
I graduated from Vancouver Island University (formerly Malaspina College) in 1972 and began my career in Victoria. I then worked in Gibsons, Squamish and Whistler where I was able to work as a CDA and utilize my orthodontic and prosthodontic modules. I was fortunate to secure a position at CNC and have loved teaching here since 1999. I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors but spend majority of my spare time training my Warmblood horse for dressage/ riding I spend a lot of time at home with my husband and our German Pinscher Polly. Gardening is another of my hobbies as my vegetable garden has grown to a crazy size. When I am not doing the latter, I love being with my two adult children and 3 (soon to be 4) grandchildren in Squamish.
I graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Ontario many years ago. Worked in private practice for 7 years as a CDA. Met my husband Dave, got married and moved to BC - became licensed - took the Ortho Module and worked with an orthodontist for 4 years in Cranbrook. Also had three children along the way. Started teaching 20 plus years ago, 17 years with CNC in Dental Studies. Some of the courses I teach are Head and Neck Anatomy, Dentition, Radiology and Community Health. I like to spend time at our cabin at Clucluz Lake with my husband Dave and our dogs Koko and Koji.
