Study and Live in Prince George—It's Only Natural!

The College of New Caledonia is an integral part of the academic and social fabric of the communities it serves. Flexible and tenacious—CNC has continuously adapted to the needs of the local communities—while focusing on building the capacity of its students. Our motto "Always the Truth" or perhaps more appropriately, "always true" underscores the authenticity of being true to oneself, the environment and the community.

Having a history that spans more than 40 years, CNC enjoys the recognition that it has helped almost half of the people in the community with higher learning.

It's only natural that students should want to study here! Prince George is often called the capital of Northern British Columbia. A magnet for outdoor enthusiasts, the region boasts world-class fresh water fishing, wildlife viewing, hiking, golf, skiing, and ice fishing—all in a setting of rugged natural beauty. Check out Tourism Prince George for a list of winter and summer activities.

CNC and Prince George offer students a great place to live while going to school. Whether you live in the on campus residences or off campus, there's a wide range of opportunities for fun outside of the classroom. During the academic year, students don't have to venture far from campus to enjoy some time off. On campus, students enjoy free use of the gym facilities (weight room, fitness classes, squash, etc). Getting to fun around town is easy—the U-Pass program gives CNC students unlimited access to the city's transit system and a pass to the Prince George Aquatic Centre and Four Seasons Pool.

On campus, the Students' Union represents students attending the main and regional campuses of CNC. They work to maintain a high quality post-secondary education system, while offering a range of services for students that include publishing a student newspaper (The Confluence), oversight of the student health and dental program, and assistance to student run clubs and events.
